Capacity Building for Clark International Airport Corporation

On November 17, 2022, Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), in partnership with Palafox Associates, conducted the Capacity Building Training for CIAC’s Updated Master Development Plan at the Quest Plus Conference Center in Clark. One of the seminar’s primary intents was to provide a deeper understanding of the entire project framework, so participants will be guided in successfully implementing the Master Development Plan (MDP), Site Development Plan (SDP), and Design Standards and Guidelines (DSG), among others. In addition, the seminar also encompassed the preparation of a detailed site engineering design of selected areas at the Clark Civil Aviation Complex (CCAC), which is envisioned to strategically position Clark as a logistics and service hub.

CIAC OIC President Darwin Cunanan delivered the opening remarks during the seminar

During the seminar, updates for the ongoing MDP, SDP, DSG, site engineering design, transportation analysis, and business plans were presented by the Palafox Team. After which, the strategies and methodologies to implement the previously mentioned plans were discussed. Q&A sessions were also conducted to address and take note of participants’ queries and recommendations.

Since 2021, Palafox Associates has been working alongside CIAC in updating their MDP and preparing their detailed site development plans for CCAC’s selected areas. These plans will support CCAC’s goal to be a modern aerotropolis and premier global gateway where world-class businesses and industries can thrive through CCAC’s livable and sustainable environments. In addition, the MDP, SDP, and DSG will optimize CCAC’s development potential that will contribute to job creation and boost local and international trade and tourism, resulting in economic growth in the province, surrounding areas, and the whole country.

More than 60 participants representing various organizational stakeholders attended the seminar
