We at Palafox Associates and Palafox Architecture Group are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the Municipality of Real, Quezon for the Consultancy Services for the Preparation of the Master Plan and Site Development Plan of Proclamation 311, the Municipality’s future economic hub. On March 23, 2022, the contract signing for this eagerly awaited development was held with Municipal Mayor Diana Abigail “Bing” Diestro-Aquino; Ar. Felino “Jun” Palafox, Jr.; Engr. Rommel A. Poblete of the Municipal Planning and Development Office (CPDO); and other members of the CPDO and the Palafox Team.
The 11-hectare economic hub is envisioned to include an intermodal central terminal; trading post; office spaces; commercial spaces for micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs); community housing; and livelihood opportunities; among others that will support the creation of an agriculture and fishery value chain in the Municipality. This development will help establish and maintain food security, increase and diversify jobs and livelihood opportunities, meet nutritional needs of rural communities, and support poverty alleviation, among others.
While in Real, Quezon, the Palafox Team also attended the State of the Municipality of Address (SOMA) of Mayor Diestro-Aquino wherein she reported the comprehensive achievements and plans of the Municipality from 2019 to 2022.
