The Clark Freeport Zone is an emerging business and leisure hub in the Philippines. The total land area is 4,400 hectares, with 2,000 hectares allocated for the international airport. The Clark Airport will become the airport with the highest capacity in the country.

As a potential counter-magnet to Metro Manila, Clark Freeport Zone will become a city that is a combination of a business center, industrial estate, residential community and leisure destination. In the Master Development Plan and Business Plan, every specialized district is logistically connected to the airport. This arrangement will enhance the productivity of surrounding business establishments and attract many investors to the region.

The Clark Freeport Zone can be a “manufacturing hub to an aerotropolis” where all kinds of infrastructure can be built to facilitate better and more efficient transportation — a high-speed railway that connects Manila to the Clark International Airport, a Bus Rapid Transit trunk line service, a Manila-to-Clark railway service, and other efficient means of transport.

It is envisioned to become a safe, happy, clean, orderly, and prosperous, providing a conducive environment for businesses and investments to flourish.

Palafox Associates worked closely with the Clark Development Corporation and the Bases Conversion Development Authority, and several stakeholders in the redevelopment master plan for Clark to consider today’s environment in transforming the former military base since lands were made available for development as part of the special economic zone.
